do you ever long for something and wonder can or will it ever happen?

sometimes I sit here and wonder to myself will something happen that I've been dreaming and hoping for...is it possible to make something happen by thinking positively and having faith it will?
I believe we have to have faith and aspire to make our dreams come true, life is for living and experiencing each and every day, death is too long, life is too short!
