Are men truly different to women? Or are we all truly the same in our desires?
Today a question was asked on a blog I was reading, what does a woman want in a man...all alpha?
It was a question that truly had no YES/NO answer...how could there be a correct answer.
Are we all as humans not the same? Do we not want to find LOVE with a person, whether male or female, young or old, rich or poor, big or small...is this truly not what every single soul on this planet is striving for, even in the animal kingdom!
To feel cherished, adored, protected and made feel whole, our ying for our yang?
It doesn't matter the sex or the style or the equipment it's what's INSIDE that counts, right?

What is LOVE?
Is it tangible, real? Can we touch it, taste it, feel it?
Can we buy it at the local store? Is it like happiness that's available for the great bargin of $2.99?
What is love, really?
Is it a person? Is it a thing?
Do we all enjoy it's heartfelt sentiments?
What is love?
Where do I order my side of it? Does it come in X-Large?
Can my cat find it too?

my question of the day...What is Love?
Unlike us, the ancients did not lump all the various emotions that we
label "love" under the one word. They had several variations,
including:
Philia which they saw as a deep but usually non-sexual intimacy between close friends and family members or as a deep bond forged by soldiers as they fought alongside each other in battle. Ludus describes a more playful affection found in fooling around or flirting. Pragma is the mature love that develops over a long period of time between long-term couples and involves actively practising goodwill, commitment, compromise and understanding. Agape is a more generalised love, it's not about exclusivity but about love for all of humanity. Philautia is self love, which isn't as selfish as it sounds. As Aristotle discovered and as any psychotherapist will tell you, in order to care for others you need to be able to care about yourself. Last, and probably least even though it causes the most trouble, eros is about sexual passion and desire. Unless it morphs into philia and/or pragma, eros will burn itself out.
Love
is all of the above. But is it possibly unrealistic to expect to
experience all six types with only one person. This is why family and
community are important...

if ye were brave, what would ye do?
Would ye dare to ask that important person THAT question, for that date, that kiss that conversation?
If ye were brave, what would ye do?
Would ye jump off a bridge in a bungee jump?
If ye were brave...but wait, what's holding ye back, ye are already far more brave than ye realize!
If ye were brave, what would ye do?
Would ye jump off a bridge in a bungee jump?
working on A Grave Hope presently...here is a wee snippet!
“Don’t try
that again little one.” A large finger
stroked her cheek almost tenderly.
Shaking her head in confusion she lay there feeling perplexed. “I’m not the monster most people believe me
to be.” Again utterly confused she lay
there wondering what he meant and who was he?
“I am THE fallen angel you
have heard fables about.” Still dazed
Lotus didn’t pass comment, a fallen angel, she had never really heard of many;
in fact she only recalled hearing of one in her religious studies with Ms.
Primrose. “That is me precious Lotus.” Gasping she sat up bolt right, “You are
Lucifer?” She could feel his smile as he
knelt down before her, his shadow kneeling in front of her, “I am him.” Lotus tried to squirm away and pushed herself
back against the wall lifting her legs up and wrapping her arms around them,
the room suddenly felt very small and intimate.
“Lotus do not fear me, I have nothing but respect for you child.” Lotus couldn’t take much more of this
throwing all fear aside she jumped up not even thinking of where her feet would
land, swaying dangerously again she felt strong arms around her “Child you are
far more precious and rare than you know yourself to be.” I will let no one harm you, but Casimiro will
pay for his sins.”
